Q: After I have applied, when can I expect to hear back from a Pinnacle Representative?

A:  After you have applied for one of our open positions, you can expect to hear from us within 2 business days from the date the application was submitted. You are very welcome to reach out before that time, or at any point in the application process, to check on the status of your application.  We would love to hear from you.

Q: I am interested in several of the employment opportunities currently posted, should I apply to each separately?

A: Good news!  You only need to apply once. On the application you will find a “Notes” section.  You can indicate the positions you are interested in – it is OK to apply for multiple positions. We will call you within 2 business days to discuss your application. During that call we will discuss the various positions you are interested in and those that are currently available.  We will provide you more information about those positions and will jointly determine how you may best fit within our organization. There is no pressure to know exactly what you are looking for. We are here to help.

A: Before applying for one of our open positions, we invite you to take a minute to review the job qualifications. Some of our positions have requirements which are not flexible and must be met for a candidate to be considered for that position.  Other positions may list preferred job skills which are not requirements. If you have any questions about matching your experience to one of our positions, please reach out to one of our Human Resources representatives. We would love to take some time to talk about your work history and your professional goals.

Q: What are some of the ongoing employment requirements I will be responsible to complete to maintain employment?

A: Staying current to industry standards and best practices is vital to high quality service delivery.  Every Pinnacle Services employee is provided a minimum of 24 hours of paid Annual Training.  Annual training can be completed by attending staff meetings, Pinnacle Services sponsored or industry specific training, or by completing online courses.  Our human resources representatives are happy to help provide you direction on the various training options available to you through Pinnacle Services. If the position you hold requires licensure, you will be required to maintain good standing with your licensing board and comply with those regulations with the assistance of our HR department

Q: Do you run background checks on employment candidates?

A: Absolutely. We take the responsibility of providing services to individuals with disabilities very seriously.  Our high employment standards, and Minnesota law, requirements that all employees pass a Department of Human Service Background Study. Employment with our agency is contingent on passing a background study. For more detailed information about this requirement please visit The Office of the Revisor of Statutes  or Minnesota Department of Human Services.

Q: What type of driving record is required to work for your company?

A: We run a motor vehicle report on all employees. This report looks back over the past 3 years for specific driving violations. There is a point system attached to each violation.  To be eligible for employment, you cannot have more than 10 points on your report. Some convictions that will automatically disqualify you for employment include: DWI, DUI, having a suspended license, driving without a license, and driving with a suspended license.
