Schedule:

  • Maintain a 40 hour work week, comprised of a 30 hour schedule with 10 flex hours as a buffer
  • Schedule includes 20 hours of direct care and every other weekend

Accountabilities:

  • Complete county licensing requirements
  • Maintain Medication compliance by working with the RN for 100% medication accuracy and equipment training
  • Prepare, conduct, and follow up for every EST team meeting
  • Complete payroll for your caseload by accurately maintaining master schedules

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise Direct Support Professionals.
  • Ensure implementation of each program plan and provide opportunities for consumer choice
  • Assure the implementation of all policies, procedures, and record keeping systems related to health, medical, and safety practices. Serve as emergency contact.
  • Attend all required training sessions to increase skills and knowledge and to meet licensing requirements. Ensure effective coordination of all orientation and on-going training for all staff
  • Obtain a working knowledge of program and organizational policies and procedures
  • Report to Program Director

Requirements:

Must meet or exceed 245D.081 education, training and work experience requirements as stated below:

  1. a baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services, and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
  2. an associate degree in a field related to human services, and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older;
  3. a diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older; or
  4. a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities; and
  5. four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in clauses (1) to (3).
