Pinnacle is looking for an RN who can work independently, and show compassion, care and flexibility.  We provide a spectrum of services for individual’s living with mental illness, physical and/or developmental disabilities, or other health concerns.

The right candidate is dedicated to compliance with MDH Comprehensive licensing requirements, treating the individual’s we serve with respect and dignity, and supporting caregivers to provide services of the highest quality.

The RN would be a part of a small nursing team.

Position Details

  • Medication set-up
  • Medication administration oversight and delegation
  • Injection medication administration
  • Medical equipment training
  • Complete RN assessments & Supervisory visits
  • Medication administration record reviews
  • Create care plans
  • Communication with the client care team
  • Provide supervision to home health aides
  • Assist with new hire orientation
  • Participate in client intake and discharge meetings, as applicable

Hours include:

  • Day, evening, and weekend; Flexible
  • On call evenings, and 1 weekend per month; Flexible
  • Up to 30 hours a week; Flexible

(our on-call needs are minimal)

We are looking for someone a variety of hours during the week, and be on call in the evenings. Specific hours can be determined in collaboration with the agency and do not need to be set.  One weekend per month is spent on-call, but this is scheduled flexibly with the other nurses. On-call means that you will be available to receive calls from our Home Health Aides via phone, and very rarely requires a visit to a consumer’s home. Calls are usually completed within 5 -10 minutes.

This position does not typically involve heavy lifting, incontinence or wound care.  Our clients are ambulatory, and do not currently have high medical needs.  While we sometimes call it “nursing lite,” know that your interactions with clients and their team are important and can be very rewarding.

There is a relaxed dress code for nurses (no scrubs) and clean and comfortable places for the individuals we serve. Day-to-day site operation and employee supervision is led by a Pinnacle program manager or director. You will serve as a resourceful member of a management team whose duties include interacting with and keeping the team informed.

Preferred: RN’s with knowledge and experience in skilled home health care, and/or MDH Comprehensive Home Care/DHS 245D licensing standards are preferred, however we are willing to train the right person. Experience with Medicare home care agency requirements, OASIS assessments, and wound care is a plus.

Schedule:  Part-time nurses will enjoy a flexible schedule.  Part-time nurses are usually working during regular business hours, and are expected to be part of an on-call rotation for phone consultation.
