Paint Nite was a HUGE success this month! Thank you Jackson Square for hosting the event! It was a great turn out from not only our Jackson Square clientele, but our Hampshire Park resident and a few of our ILS consumers! We look forward to more events like these!

Pinnacle Independent Living Services

Pinnacle Services provides individuals with high-quality support services, approaching the needs of each client with passion and commitment. Our Independence Program involves each individual in person- centered planning to assure that they have every opportunity they desire to participate in community life. Our services include Supportive Employment, Independent Living, In-Home, Ryan White (for individuals with HIV or AIDS), Personal Support/Respite and Homemaker.

In addition to our Independence Programs, we also support individuals through Supported Living Services (SLS) homes and Housing with Services – Assisted Living. We currently have openings in one of our six Supported Living Services (SLS) homes, located in Chaska.

MN Legislature Enacts Corporate Foster Care Moratorium

Effective July 1, 2009 the Minnesota legislature enacted a moratorium on new child and adult corporate foster care homes. The moratorium is in effect for the next two state fiscal years and a report is to be issued on its success to the legislature by January 15, 2013. The legislature’s intent is to compel counties and providers to develop alternative living arrangements in an effort to curb spending.

At Pinnacle we understand that there are limited resources and growing demand for services. However, placing a moratorium on new corporate foster care sites is not a method to balance the budget. It simply limits the choices of counties and consumers. Limiting the development of new corporate foster care sites negatively impacts those with high needs that cannot be served in less restrictive settings.

Pinnacle Services Opens New Supported Living Services Home

On July 1, 2009 Pinnacle Services became the service provider for a Supported Living Services home in Wright County. This new program is home to three young adults with developmental disabilities and is located in Monticello.

We are excited to be working with the young residents at this home. Our services will help maximize the consumers’ independence while maintaining a necessary level of support to ensure their health and safety. Our staff will provide support with activities of daily living including personal care as well as behavioral programming specific to the consumers needs at the home.

We are honored to have been chosen by Wright County as the new service provider. We are confident that we will bring the quality services to the consumers that they deserve. As a CARF accredited organization Pinnacle provides services that are of the highest quality that meet with the needs and desires of the people we serve.
